Our Beliefs

We Believe in the Holy Trinity

God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. That relationship consists of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each part of the Trinity serves different functions, but possesses equal power and authority.

- The Father

Throughout scripture, the father is all powerful, all knowing, faithful, ever present, unchanging, unfailing, completely deserving of our trust, pure and kind.  We also know that He is diligent, a rewarder of those that seek Him, and that, as a father, He must allow judgement for those that are unjust, unrepentant and unfaithful.

- The Son

He is:

  • the spotless lamb
  • the son of God
  • Jesus Christ, the anointed one and his anointing

He laid down all his deity to become completely human, then He died on the cross, shed his blood was raised to life again, and is seated at the right hand of Father God. He’s defeated death (our sin or separation from God), hell (our punishment) and the grave (by changing our destination) allowing me to come boldly into the Throne of Grace and receive God’s mercy—to have a true relationship with a loving father!  His plan is for his children to prosper and be in health, even as their souls prosper, and He works His plan by bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with him!

- The Holy Spirit

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is our helper, an “ever present help in time of need.”   The Bible also says that He guides believers into all truth, and that He will not speak of himself, but only of the one that sent Him to exalt the Father and Jesus Christ. He convicts people of their sin in order that we can enjoy God’s righteousness and avoid pain, problems and judgment in this life and the life to come. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ as we follow his leadings.

Salvation

God was grieved when man lost fellowship with Him in the Garden of Eden. Because of His love for mankind, he not only wanted that fellowship restored, but developed a plan to do just that.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to Earth in human form. He lived a sinless life and then freely gave that life…allowed himself to bear the stripes on His back, the crown of thorns on His head and then paid the ultimate price on the cross on Calvary. In doing so, He provided us with the only way of receiving salvation and forgiveness of our sins. Salvation occurs when a person places his or her faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for his or her sin. Salvation is free—a gift from God, a status that cannot be earned through one’s own efforts. It is His eternal grace.

Man was created by God and is an eternal being designed to exist forever. Each one of us will exist for all of eternity, and we can decide to either be eternally separated from God or to receive forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally united with God is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence and He has given us the freedom to choose.

Salvation is so much more though, it is the saving of dead relationships, the making possible of those impossible situations, the ability to deal with financial and emotional issues, peace in place of anxiety and depression, an igniting of passion, and a restoration of hope.  God created us to be victorious in every area of our life, this was GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION!
